This Weeks Catch Up

I have been busy the last couple of weeks. This is what's happening in the world of MV Photography at the moment.

• New business cards have been ordered, once they arrive I'll post a picture and talk about the design process
• My first client wedding collage has been created and printed. When I have some time I'll post the collage
• New print samples have arrived this week. The gold old craftwood mount with a Kodak Lustre and Metallic print attached and the exciting new acrylic mount metallic prints. Once I photograph them I'll post a pic
• New wedding price list in development
• Website is still in planning stages. I'm not sure whether I should go a custom made site, which is time consuming and difficult to upgrade, a kit website from a developer or a premium wordpress blog. I like the latter as it is cheaper, easier and quicker, but that means I have to transfer all my blog material. That would take a while I'd imagine
• Not far away from purchasing a couple of Canon 580EX IIs for TTL flash
• A drool worthy Canon 7D and 60D is due out either later in the year or early 2010. Head over to Canon Rumours for the goss. The only thing I need beside more lenses is a low noise camera for low available light. Hey if business is good I'll go for a Canon 5D MkII
• Picture This 2009 over at the Brunswick Street Gallery is happening soon. Probably Melbourne's best opportunity to gain some recognition in the photographic community where there are some major cash prizes up for grabs. Entries close this weekend, so I may not have time to organise some pictures, let alone afford the entry fee. I'll see how I go
• Missed out on the Strobist Assignment 3 due to time constraints, but I'll be all good for number four (if there is one)
